Hi Raze

What Abu Jimmy mentioned is correct and another option will be cooper H/T . And don't increase the size because they are going to touch the body while offroading

Anyway for a fast calculation you may use following link - http://tire-size-conversion.com/metric-tire-conversion/
Chief, would you be kind enough to calculate 275/75R16 to Inches on that '''same''' link??

Because 'that link' says its 32.2 inches in height, 10.83 inches in Width.

275/70R16 : 31.2x10.83R16

i think Yokohama geolander ATS would fit my choice.
One more thing... the 265/75/R16, would it be ok if i go for a 275/75/R16 or 285's (if its available in the market though.......:O_O:)
Hi Chief,
I had a small mistake with my rim size, its and R17 which i am having now.
Any how i bought the Yokohama Geolander ATS 265/70/R17.
It is a very good tire to look as well as to drive.
it touches the mud flaps while turning , but its not such a big deal.

The main issue is speed.
before when i had the 265/65/r17 on my speedo it shows 120Km/h and my GPS would show 119Km/h
now with the 265/70/r17 while my speedo shows 120Km/h my gps shows 124Km/h
If iam trusting my speedo and going in 140Km/h i would be actually going in 148km/h .....? and i would get a lot of fotos of my cars due to over speeding.....?

Another thing is the fuel consumption,
on a normal full tank i would get average around 425 km
but now i only get 350 km....?
am i draining power......?

It doesn't matter if you have Yokohama or Kitakyushu. R17 for off-roading is too big. 265 is more-less acceptable, preferably it should be 275. Mud flaps are not necessary, remove them all. With 17" you'll be touching also top of inner fenders.
Your car comp is not adjusted for your new tyres as they have bigger outer diameter, so all indications for speed or consumption are wrong. Only reliable measurement would be with Garmin or any other GPS device (smart phone) where you can see actual speed and using Trip data also accurate fuel consumption with simple calculation (consumption [L/km] = fuel amount [L] divided by distance [km]).

speedo reading 120 and GPS reading 124 due to total wheel diameter increase . the GPS gives the accurate speed reading as its connected to satellite . speedometer can easily be calibrated by proper programming through OBD2 tuning device . regarding mileage & based on your info ( full tank 425 km ) if you get the reading of 350 km by speedometer then the actual distance covered is 361.6 km .

I learned my lesson the hardway yesterday. Was doing 135 on Shk. Mohd. Bin Zayed Road and got a complimentary RTA photo.I forgot that the 225/70R16s were now 245/75R16s.
