for oman visa, if you are an UAE resident (of course with a valid residency) then you can get a visa on the border (50 AED, it is a one month tourist visa single entry) you can fill the application on site (to know the border name), as well if crossing with your own car make sure you have oman coverage as well
for non UAE resident, i guess depends on the nationality, some they can get visa on site (border), some they have to apply through the embassy or consulate
hope this help

This sorts out my confusion with the visa
About the car, I will be driving the car but it is under my father's name it has no bank liability do I need any NOC
Contacted RTA they told to have NOC from Dubai Court
Contacted Dubai Court they told no NOC required just the original car registration and insurance is required
Any idea? :lll._.:

As far as getting Oman visa is concerned, no issues at all for GCC residents (those with resident visas). One can get it at the border. However, there could be a rush, so waiting time can differ accordingly and needs to be factored in. I have some details on this and will post it later, including how to save time during the visa at border process.
For car, oman insurance is required.
As for the trip, awaiting more details, as I can see that it is 4 day trip?
I'm guessing it's open for all, since it's mostly going to be a road trip...
But AlKhatib can confirm otherwise.
Dear Newbies

Preferably not here on traveling issues to Oman, as this subject is related to Salalah trip. I suggest, you open your own thread.
