Now my trip report for the Clash of Desert drive…

I was very excited as it was Sweihan… a different area to try … soft sand, tricky dunes, big drops, etc…

All began with a small convoy of me , Ben & Falasi from dubai to sweihan, reached meeting point and off we went to our camp area… well there Silvester made us stop at deflation point as warned us well to keep pressure as low as 9 or 10 psi and make sure all are well preapared, 4 wheel on, hand brakes off, etc etc…as the way to the camp is super hard and we need to be prepared for the worst! So I started to sweat already.. and all set we started the convoy to the camp area and guess what…30 seconds max we were there! Hehehehe we could see the catche road from our spot! Silvester was in one of his naughty moods!:011:

Was fun and chit chat at the camp and by 1am off I went to sleep.. this time for a change went to sleep in my FJ…and man it was amazing a huge space, cool AC blowing at me all nite,, slept like a baby! Im sure some others did wish the same hehehehe …:005:

Up and ready by 7am to hit the dunes….

And added to this was the SURPRISE that the great DC will be leading…woooohooooo! I knew this would be fun as it’s his playground!:028:
And indeed it was a great drive, awesome dunes, tricky tracks, funny bowls, DC gave us everything!

Hhmmm I know all wanna know how many times I got stuck… rite? Well it was a good day for me… I got stuck only once and as soon as I did… I felt Silvester flying on his way to reach me to get his COVER GIRL’S picture!:015:

We did get to play at the huge naqra dune where we met the newbie convoy,,, Black Pearl did pretty well,, though she was not in top 3…highest 1^st was Pwood 2^nd Rashid 3^rd DC
Indeed it was a pleasure driving in DC’s convoy with Capri as our guardian angel and Rashid as a great 2^nd lead as I could see that its not easy to catch up to DC as he likes to disappear a lot hehehe…
