For off-road use you will need a GPS that show you the direction of the end point either using arrow as what I have in my Garmin Nuvi 760 & GPSMAP 62S or pink line like what in Garmin 205w.

I think 205 or 255 are no longer available, right?

A friend of mine got yesterday from Amit Montana 600, including ME and North Africa maps 2012, glass holder, car charger with speaker for 2,500 Dhs. Montana 650 cannot record video, so this option is pretty useless.

Hi Capri

The GPS is to help navigate.... what do you want a video for???

The idea was earlier, that the camera in Montana 650 is IP65 proof (quite well for sand, water and dusty conditions), so you would need to carry only one equipment with you if you would like to join Paparazzi Club. So, as the camera is pretty weak, despite high megapixels, it is better to have separate camera, which can do also video. Video is starting to be quite popular between our members.

Garmin mentions Garmin nüvi 40 and Garmin nüvi 50 as the newer model of Nuvi255w.

Has anyone tested nuvi40/nuvi50, if it's good for offroading as its predecessor 255w?
