A big thank you to Almost 4x4, all the marshals, and every member who joined this fantastic drive.
This time we were Team 2 — myself and my buddy Kareem. Our task was simple in theory but challenging in practice: complete the track by following the GPS coordinates from Point 1 to Point 13, with Point 14 being the camp location.
The terrain was the familiar Nahel track — not a new route for many of us. However, what made this drive truly different was the night navigation and the absence of a leading marshal. We were completely on our own, relying only on the GPS coordinates and our judgment.
Driving through bushes and stretches of soft sand, every dune to attempt with confidence. Sometimes we felt confident, sometimes uncertain. The experience tested our skills, patience, and decision-making. Our safety and recovery were entirely in our own hands, which added a whole new dimension to the drive.
The adrenaline rush of approaching each dune, deciding the line, committing to the climb, and seeing it through was simply incredible.
Having Chris behind me added a strong sense of responsibility. Knowing someone was depending on my line choices made the experience even more meaningful. I truly enjoyed the challenge and the responsibility that came with it.
It was a fantastic experience overall, and I hope my buddy Chris enjoyed the drive behind me as much as I enjoyed leading our team through the track.
Once again, thank you to Almost 4x4 for consistently organizing such well-planned drives. The way each drive is carefully crafted for different member levels is something that truly makes the club special.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon in the sand.

Good afternoon Almosters
Was paired up with Bob for this event, decision was made Bob would lead by us being an older intermediate. We set off as the second pair not knowing what to expect exactly but had a fair idea knowing Bu Salem it was going to involve technical areas and big dunes.
The track did not disappoint and has some very challenging areas made even more difficult at night. Bob did a great job leading our team and hit everything with confidence. Being second car I could adjust my line accordingly to avoid the risky bits lead car encountered.
It truly was a culmination and exercise of the training and skills we have been taught. Relying on muscle memory, instincts and feel to conquer the obstacles with confidence in a calm manner. Driving at night is alot harder than daytime and one of our senses sight is limited as we only have our offroad lights to see and can't look 360 degrees to see the lines.
Thoughts of the Marshalls training going through my head, Davids words on anchoring the car on the crest. Agalons and solmaz words of approach, speed and power to the crest. Bu Salems training in the technicals to mention but a few. Everything just clicked for me and went into practice and I approached and reacted in a calm and confident manner to everything the track threw at us.
My passenger it was his first drive in the dark with me and he was shocked at the level and speed even at night almosters drive at. Thoroughly enjoyed himself and really enjoyed watching Bobs great lead in front of us.
We finished off got to the final point and had some karak and snacks. Sara invited me to some food which I gratefully accepted.
Really left the drive feeling amazing, adrenaline fix achieved and big smile on my face.
Thank you Bu Salem for an amazing track, Rashid and Scorpio for supporting.
Itching for the next intermediate drive need my fix of adrenaline

Hello dear Almosters
What a drive we had this weekend, simply amazing
For me it is maybe the toughest drive I had ever done with the club so far
Honestly I didn’t expect that I did two solo bats drives before but this one was something else due to the bigger area that we have to cover and looking after your partner specially when you are leading
Me and my partner @ahmed77moharem were the last ones who left the starting point
The first two points were really difficult because the area was technical and full of bushes we spent around 45 minutes to get to these points
After that the things became better when we hit the big dunes we were able to speed up and get the right momentum, of course it wasn’t easy specially Ehab’s Bowl (congratulations @Ehab Abu Salim named it under your name
) and Nahil bowl these bowls were difficult to concur in day time so imagine doing it at night
specially the points sequence were designed against wind direction so entering and exiting the bowls was really challenging and we had to do a lot of tornado maneuvers to make it
After point 14 my partner passenger started to feel sick
so we decided to exit from easy way to the camp point, we were the last ones to reach but the good thing that we were the second ones who did the whole track
Overall it was an amazing experience, leading and covering that big area in the dark was something totally unique thing and I really felt the stress and the load on leading Marshals when they lead us on the drives so big shout to them

Finally I want to thank @alshamsi_m for organizing and designing this amazing track, our marshals @Rashidjass @Scorpio @Mabubaker for their support, to my fellow intermediate who joined and played safe last but not least to my partner in this adventure @ahmed77moharem you did an amazing job brother and I really enjoyed driving with you
Till next time stay safe and see you all soon on the sand

Hi Almosters,
The Night Bats Cauldron was not just another night drive; it was a true test of the intermediate skills we’ve been building.
This drive combined technical challenges, navigation, teamwork, and the thrill of night dune‑bashing into one unforgettable experience.
We were Team 4 — myself and @Nidal, From the moment we started moving, @Nidal took the lead and I followed, His confidence and smooth driving style made it easy for me to follow without any struggle, and it set the tone for the rest of the night.
The first three points were located in a technical area, and they demanded time, patience, and precision, After clearing them, we crossed a soft sand section and continued toward Point 5, From there, the difficulty level increased noticeably.
One of the biggest highlights was entering Nahel Bowl — at night, I honestly never imagined I would attempt that in the dark. It was a woooow moment for me
.
My passenger, @Haidy79, was shocked at both the decision to enter and the way we managed to exit.
It was one of those moments that stays with you
.
The total route included 14 points, with three of them being particularly tough Point 7, Point 12 (Ehab’s Bowl)
& Point 13.
Despite the difficulty, we managed to reach all points on time and without issues.
At several points, @Nidal gave me the chance to take the lead, I truly enjoyed driving with him — his support and teamwork made the experience even better, I look forward to driving together again soon.
A big thank you to @alshamsi_m
for designing such an amazing challenge, We are continuously learning from your guidance and from all Almost 4x4 Marshals.
Special thanks as well to @Rashidjass, @Scorpio & @Mabubaker
Your support throughout the drive was greatly appreciated
.
See you all on the sand soon.

It was a woooow moment for me
My passenger, @Haidy79, was shocked at both the decision to enter and the way we managed to exit.
It was one of those moments that stays with you
The total route included 14 points, with three of them being particularly tough Point 7, Point 12 (Ehab’s Bowl)
