Many thanks to almost 4x4 and the event organizers for letting me in this event. It was a fulfilling experience even though I only participated on the first stage of the race.
The marshaling and the race itself was very organized. Kudos to the commanders and to the rally marshals and those who stayed overnight to have a watchful eyes of the race to make it safe and successful.
Thanks again almost4x4 - simply the best offroad club.

We reached Emirates Motorflex parking quite early on Friday and waited for the other participating marshals. After sunset Al Shamsi came and gave he’s instructions to all the participants. Marshaling that night starts with a very good dinner buffet. Around 9 pm we started to deflate & go to our respective rally points, glad that Al Shamsi given us a chance to lead a small convoy... Well honestly it felt like you are leading a "battalion" because Al Shamsi aka Bu Salem :meta knight: is just right behind you knowing that he will keeping an eye on every move you make but that was fun & had a chance to use my new Garmin Montana .
While marshaling race driver #17 approached my station with a pop-out tire. We'll I know what to do, first change the blinker from green to red, pulled all my tools, flash light, and jack+jack board and guess what? my jack rod is missing :dark mood: suddenly Iskander arrived to the rescue. In the end we've decided to change the tire with the spare one. The first race that morning ended.
Al Shamsi picked us up to have a karak break with biscuits and fruits at Rally 11 station. Had a short chitchat & around 3am we had to go back to our rally points and decided to drive all by ourselves and as Jeremy mentioned it was quite a smooth drive back to our stations. The race again starts and everything was fine in my area, I was like an owl alone in the dark desert I must say:ninja:.
The second race ends and before the sun rises Jeremy went to my station and with his lead both of us go to the meeting point at Rally 11 and go back to the Emirates Motorflex Hall, had breakfast and a short rest :2 z Z:.
We are off to the final round of the race which is in the beach side & I find this race more exciting. Within like 3 hours the race finally ended and all went back to the Emirates Motorflex Hall for awarding, We started to inflate and time to say goodbye again to my second family coz my first family is waiting for me back home. Thank you for another great and new experience from the club. It was a long day and night but I had fun. Cheers to all!
