Question on notifications

I'm not sure if I am posting in the correct place, but I cannot find a website feedback system or how to contact the administrator.

I have been looking every day to do my first trip as a newbie, since I have now done two club member trips and passed the tool check. Unfortunately it looks like I missed the window for registration for tomorrow as I never looked until this evening, and tomorrows National Day newbie (-5) trip is already full.

When I was a club member I used to receive email notifications when a drive was about to take place. However now I am a newbie I don't receive them anymore. Any ideas why that is the case? I did receive the email for the camp this week, but not for the National Day drive. I also missed one last month as well for Newbie drivers, where I did not get notified and missed seeing the post in time to register.

How can I get it back so I receive emails when there is an upcoming drive, and I can register in time?

Thanks

Chris (Fats25)

In the Settings > My Settings > General Settings there is Default Thread Subscription Mode: Choose your preferred notification, e.g. Instantly, by email
You can always send a private message to admin through MY Messages.

On the other hand, Newbie trip places are taken sometimes in few minutes, so you have watch the Forum and be very fast.

Sometimes Marshals are showing the mercy and taking into the convoy also those drivers who are on the waiting list.

Many Thanks for your response - however I do have that setting turned on already

This setting only appears to work for threads I have subscribed to - i.e. new threads I started (and this works fine - I recieved your response to this thread by email). Not for notifications of trips though.

As per my previous note below, it did work when I was a New Member. It also works for some trips (like the Camp this week). However it does not work for other Newbie trips.

I wonder - is it an option by whoever creates the trip where they can choose whether to notify via email or not? Perhaps the organizer of the Newbie trip is a different person and does not select that option?

What is the username of the admin to send to in My messages if I do miss the cutoff, and can beg to be allowed on late?

Thanks

Hi Fats25

We announce the club members and family events by mass mail but we don't do that for the other events that is why you have to stay sharp and check the Forum regularly.

Best regards
