The last time I had my diff oils inspected by Liberty Autos (their service centre), there was a whole lot of metal slush on the magnet. But when i'm on 2H or 4H, I dont hear any sounds coming from vehicle. Any reason why this metal build up comes? Whats grinding it down?

Thanks,
Fab Rabbit
It's normal, the teeth wheels are rubbing each other and the magnet is catching all metallic micro stuff.
Hi

In your Jeep?

regards
Paul
Yes Paul, in the tJ with my wife and the kids.

Took off the rear seat and put in extra padding. It will take 19 hours to do one way i.e. 1960 kms.

The luggage carrier we fabricated is 120 cm X 60 cm and has a jerry can holder on one side. The Jeep is amazing quite now, even with the Nasty Flowmaster Catback. And no more heat fron the hardtop.

Any advise? Chief marshal, what do you say, should I carry extra fuel in the jerrycan just in case?

I got the Injector and Valves cleaned (Cleaned the throttle body and IAC Valve myself) the inner city range now is 300 km, mostly in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear.

Hi Maddie

Wow, quite a trip......

I get bored/tired on the flight to Mecca, can't imagine the drive in a Jeep.
Good luck, have fun and drive safe.

Paul

Thanks Mate, been there 11 times and back since 1999. ... With the frequent pitstops, rest stops, it isn't very tiring ...

Few days before, my digital clock on dashboard, in the middle of vents said 'Good Bye', blank, no display. I didn't pay much attention to it at that moment, but later I realized, that I'm missing this time information.
Thinking that the digital thing said good bye, I started to search over scrap places, in Sharjah, to find it, thinking eventually, maybe 1Dhs shop would be eventually a good replacement for such a gadget.
None of the scrap places had it ! So I stopped at next authorized Nissan spare parts dealer to acquire about the part number and price. I got it, 850Dhs, before discount ! A digital clock, showing only hours and minutes in 12 hours format. It means per a single digi segment 56 Dhs, wow. Additionally the spare parts representative told me, that there is a small battery inside the clock. So in the heat of 35 degC, I removed the clock from dashboard, opened it completely to IC board, cleaned it... and there was no battery...

Ok, let's find another solution. I searched in Service Manual, which I downloaded from somewhere many years before, for a wiring diagram, and there it was, fuse #24, 7.5A. I checked with my instrument and eyes, it was blown. How comes, I don't know. I replaced the fuse and voila, its, working now.
