BIG THANKS TO MOHSIN FOR GUIDING ME TO NARROW MY SEARCH WITH VITAL INFO :045:

An affair started with AL PATROL A long time back,...

Until I became a despo and finally bought one.

Here's what I got 2003 model 4.5 injector SWB with shape changed to 2007.Completely manual.Done 1,03000 kms only.

Searching on Dubizzle yielded no results. Finally when I switched to dubaimoon my search ended.

It required a through workshop stay for the following items.

Lean on one side.
Shocks & coils needed replacement.
Radiator adjustment (the overflow pipe was left in the open)
Central locking
Engine tuning
Engine oil change
Steering wheel slight noise
Spark plugs change
Bonnet holding shocks replacement
windshield needs to be replaced

AGAIN I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MOHSIN BHAI for taking me to the best patrol garage I have ever

known.A Rally patrol made its appearance for repairs there. My Praise for him would be less without

mentioning that he took me across all of sharjah to search for the k&n filter,Shocks,Introduced

me to Patrol Scrap markets in sharjah,Followed BY an Amazing lunch :045:

Couldn't take as bought pics but these are after adding Dobinsons coils & shocks+ steering

stabilizer & drop in K&N.

K&N now produces a sweet whine in 3rd gear.

Lowering of gear box has to be done, Steering is super hard.

Great !
Additionally I would suggest:
  • chemical radiator cleaning and coolant replacement (in future never use water, even bottled water, only coolant), you don't know what the previous owner was putting inside
  • front and rear differential oil change
  • brake and clutch fluid change
  • check clutch in hard environment (desert) and change if necessary, clutch disk, fly wheel, bearing, top cylinder and bottom booster including pressure hose at bottom (hose tends to be corroded)
  • when you are changing spark plugs, they should be double platinum
  • make the power test on tarmac, 2H at 1st gear the rear wheels should be spinning at start, second test in 4H, all wheels should be spinning
  • tyres seems to be OK at the moment, later change it for Bridgestone H/T or Yokohama Geolander, 275/70R16

wooow... congrats bro.... Patrol almost 4x4 family is growing heheheehe...

good choice for suspension..
question:
when installing the steering stabilizer did the guys had to trim the bolt near the front differential?
is it a 3" lift kit? hope they got the correct left and right side... (coz australian are opposite)

with this lift you must increase the width, put wheel spacer 2.5 inch of good quality not chinease.
Titanium Spark Plug will give much better boost on the ignition.
By lowering gear the shaft must be change.

Hassan, titanium is the metal used for Peepers, the proud owners of Nissan are using Platinum, but definitely I agree with you on spacers, as the car as it looks now, is ready for roll-over...

Thanks guys .These are Dobinsons shocks & springs which provide roughly 2.5 ich lift, I am quite sure they did no trimming with bolts near the front diff.
& yes I do need spacers until then I will drive like a kid:011:

iridium spark plugs are way better than Platinum or Titanium.

The 2010 and up FJ comes fitted with Iridium plugs from the factory !

iridium plugs have a 100,000 mile change interval almost double of Platinum / titanium plugs
