Hi Almosters!

We had a 5-, 5+ and 10+ drive, so 3 convoys! at this afternoon! Was very nice to see all those new and old faces at this drive!

We had Solmaz , Booy and JockJKU leading them and I was as rescue crew at 10+ with Jock.

Drive was at a technical area, with small dunes, some small climbing and several places with soft sand that the drivers handled without much problem.

The convoy was going at a faster than usual pace and some drivers had to adjust their usual pace to this new faster pace. Jock was doing lots of up and down on the small technical dunes, with front and most usually side climbing, using the wall at a angle to reach the top. Some second tries happened, as usual, and all drivers did well managing a higher than usual pace on a technical area and none - as per my knowledge - got any broken part :)

Drivers could polish some side crest on smaller dunes and adjust the track to climb it, stay on top for 1-2 seconds and go down, without just jumping from one side to the other what can be unsafe in more challenging areas.

After the drive we gather at an Al Qudra lake for chitchat and spend time with friends.

Thank you for Marshals for organizing this drive!

Hope you all like it, I am looking forward to see you all next weekend!

Hello all,

The weather was amazing, clouds moving in slow motion in the sky, sun lights dances between the beautiful clouds! with folds so soft and fair, swimming in the pure quiet air!

With such a nice afternoon, Almosters started to show up for the drive while the majority came directly from the RTM drive looking tired but at the same time excited for the drive.

Solmaz started to take the attendance and gave the drive briefing. We were divided into 3 convoys. One with Solmaz , one with JockJKU and one with Booy . I joined JockJKU convoy as a rescue for the first time. I was excited yet didn't know what kind of a rescue situation we will face. Our convoy was the 10+ convoy so the drive was a bit faster this time for some of the drivers. We had about 3 small rescue but all in all, everyone did a great job keeping up with the fast pace drive. JockJKU took us to a very technical area and everyone managed to get out safe and sound, with a small bumper sand kisses for some. Since the convoy was moving fast, JockJKU started to drive in a longer route going right to left and left to right.

At the end we reached Alqudra lakes road at about 1645 and whoever wanted to go home they stopped to inflate and the ones who wanted to stay at the lake they followed alshamsi_m who was also a sweeper to our convoy, towards Salah Aldeen Lake. We took our chairs out Sat down and alshamsi_m offered us coffee and Karak. Later on Booy arrived alone and followed by Solmaz and her convoy. We all shared snacks and started chit chat. After the sunset I said goodbye and left with great memories and new experience .

Thanks Almost4x4 family

Hello Everybody

It felt nice being in the sand after 4 long months. I was a part of Booy convoy which was a 5+ convoy along with the support of Agalon and nabil_k. The drive started very smoothly with small sized dunes without any incidents and later we encountered a technical area where the second lead and the third car in the convoy got stuck at the same time due to which i started having flashbacks of friday the 13th drive but hopefully that was the most technical area we encountered. Towards the end of the drive we drove through a small bowl where a lot of us had sencond tries especially me in the fortuner but thanks to Agalon taking over he finally showed me what drve it like u stole it means.
Finally i would like to thank Booy again for a wonderful lead and Agalon and nabil_k for the support.

Regards

Hi Everybody,

I was with JockJKU 's convoy. The drive was fast as well as technical and the track was so good. I was second lead after the first break and really enjoyed. Thanks JockJKU.

I believe all drivers did very well and there was no major issue except one bumper damage due to the vehicle clearance.

Thanks to alshamsi_m kept on eye on all of us during the drive and delicious drinks & sweet after the drive at al qudra lake, of course nice chat as well.

Thanks to Solmaz for arranging the drive and good split on the convoys thumbsup , thanks presa for the support

Looking forward for the next drive

Regards
Serkan

Amazing weather, amazing convoy, amazing track..!

It was a 5- convoy, however the track the convoy drive on was above the level due to technical area which needs proper distance management and soft sand which needs proper momentum management. There were multiple second tries but all the convoy did amazingly well and surprisingly got used to the track quickly as if all were hungry for challange..!

It was a drive that Almost fulfilled one other CSR responsibility and saved a stuck afternooner friends with the legendary train style.

Thanks to Solmaz for great lead and Youssef.Abdelhady for smart support; reliable and clever..!

Always chg with improvement.

Hello Almosters,

Another great day in the desert.

Our convoy of 5+ members did very well. We started off slowly to get everyone into the swing of things, then drove safari style between the bigger dunes. I realized that everyone was doing really well, and decided to introduce a few technical dunes to the drive.

As soon as we entered the technical area, we had our first stucks - as expected. Thank you for giving the intermediates some rescue training opportunities thumbsup

After the technical area we moved to an interesting drop into a bowl, and a long climb to get out of the bowl. Most drivers had multiple tries to get out of the bowl. Thank you @agalon for walking down into the bowl to give assistance and guidance. That was a good workout grin

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the "All Newbie In" drive this coming Friday.

till then....

Regards,

Booy

Hello Everyone,

It was a great drive lead by Booy. It was a 5+ drive convoy. I drove on position # 03 after James. The drive was srarted with slow paced, after an hour Booy realized that we all need more adventure and speed, so he moved towards technical area. The experience was amazing, we drove on dune belly, climbed between dunes, did a tiny side cresting, speeding on a flat ground...

As I said, the area was quite technical, close dunes with some soft sand crest, but everything went very smoothly however we had 03 stucks. Out of all, 02 are mine Psmiley Thanks to Agalon and @Nabeel for recovery training.

Finally, we approached to a challanging drop, a hugh Dune Bowl and a long climb to get out of the bowl. Thanks God, I did it first time thumbsup. Most drivers had multiple tries but made it at the end. After the last challange, the convey moved to Al Qudra. Some members continued to Lake for chit chat and I was heading back to home after inflate.

Nice trip, Nice memories, Wish to see you all on coming friday.. 8-)

At end, special thanks to @Shamsi, @Booy, @Solmaz and @Jock for their hospitality and guidances.
Best Regards,

Hello Almosters,

Always nice to see so many members of our 2nd family come to drive; we were split into 3 convoys.
I was in Solmaz's VIP convoy, which had 6 newbies, 2 rescue and 1 lead. ORLY

The track was at a good level for the drivers, where they were learning how to maintain the correct speed for climbs.
There were a few second tries, but overall the pace of the drive was smooth.

We also found a group that went solo and got stuck. After helping them deflate and pulling them out train style, we escorted them to a flat area then continued our drive.

At the end we stayed at Al Qudra lakes to relax and chit chat. Unfortunately I was not feeling well so ended up leaving shortly after. sick

Thanks Solmaz for the lead and Barish for the support, it's always a pleasure driving with both of you. thumbsup

See you all soon. in love
